All students enrolled in Chartered Accountants Ireland Boot Camp are encouraged to take part in our annual National "Be the Boss" competition.

Be the Boss is a real-life business simulation where you play the role of Chief Executive Officer of a company faced with a major business decision. Be The Boss gives students the opportunity to develop their decision-making and leadership skills by getting to grips with real-life business challenges.

There is no right or wrong answer in Be the Boss. As in real-life business decisions, you have limited information to work with. You will have to do some market research, weigh up the risks and the benefits and then make the best decision you can.

Be the Boss 2025 is now open for entries. You can enter as an individual or as a team (of up to four people). Chartered Accountants Ireland will award a top prize of €1,000 for the best overall entry.

The closing date for entries is Monday 24th March 2025.
